Well, I started this post a month ago with "Happy December!" as my one-line opener. I guess it's turned into "Happy January!"
As a recap of the past couple of months:
"No-Shave-November" went well for this kid! The beard was a nice one, I'll admit. But on Doomsday when Steve went in to shave and came out hiding his face, I wasn't surprised that this is what I found:
Love this guy, more than words can express. Most people comment on how mature and quiet-spoken he is. If only you knew, world! Not a day goes by that he doesn't make me laugh hysterically!
And, when I'm not feeling well, he brings me sweet surprises!
And when my pregnancy hormones are in a frenzy and I cry for no reason at all (I'll even look at him and say, "I don't know why I'm crying!") he knows just how to make me laugh.
On the baby side of things.... (and I guess this was taken a month or more ago...)
We're growing! We had our second ultrasound a few weeks ago, which we were so excited for because the tech said the details would blow our mind this time...buuuuut Baby Eva decided to sleep the whole time with her back towards us. The tech even had me do laps up & down the hall and jump up & down to try to get her to flip. As soon as we got home, she wiggled and wiggled. Little stinker! She usually starts doing flips around 10:30 at night...which makes me wonder if we'll ever get any sleep when she arrives!
We are so excited to share Christmas with her next year! We had such a beautiful Christmas this year, filled with family, friends, and foooooood. I find it so fitting that as we celebrate Christ through this beautiful season, our celebration becomes a reflection of what we've learned and accomplished that year, which then transitions into a season to make new resolutions to change and be better the coming year. It is so fitting because Christ is who truly gives us the power to change and grow.
We wish you and your loved ones much happiness in 2014!
